On Sundays, when the weather is cooperative, my husband and I enjoy walking through Golden Gate Park. Well, I walk. He skateboards. But that’s a story for another day.
One of my favorite stops on our walk is to watch the crowd that amasses to swing dance. There are great dancers and silly dancers. Old dancers and young dancers. Multi-cultural dancers. Men dancing with women, women dancing with women, men dancing with men, kids dancing with everyone. The entire event is pure joy. I get sucked in every time.
I’ve been trying to capture that happiness in a photograph for years now. I think this one finally comes close.
