About every six months or so, my husband and I give our little apartment a complete overhaul. For two days, we reassess, reorganize, compartmentalize, and label. It’s such a great feeling to get everything so shiny, clean and in its rightful place.
The only drawback is that once your mind is in the efficiency zone, it’s hard to turn off. Out-of-doors, I can only see the world in terms of its orderliness. Why are the oranges not all in the same place in the grocery store? Shouldn’t the flowers in the park be arranged by color? And you, tall guy. A little to the left, please. We’ll be lining up for the bus by height today.
